GiliNix - More Than Just Tweed - The Authentic British Brand

...and this is how it all started.

two mothers ( I'm taking the pictures!), three girls, plenty of puppies, a few horses and a big fat roll of tweed.

Wanting to create clothing to suit our lifestyle we set about re-designing the most worn, the most important piece in our wardrobe, a gilet.

The shape was critical, a gilet to fit and flatter the female figure.. on thin days and fat days, be suitable for the school run, chic enough for lunch, smart enough for parents evening yet tough enough to withstand long walks in the field or mucking out the ponies.

The choice of fabric simple, it had to be tweed

The ladies gilet created, which did ...and still does all the things we wanted...

shows off the good bits, hides the cheeky bits and gives great shape, not bulk.

with the same tweed we designed a classic country coat for the girls, smart enough for church yet tough enough for the great outdoors, including a waterproof membrane within the coat ensured our little ones were warm and dry, whatever the weather.

today our tweeds are woven exclusively, in the borders

new tweeds and fabrics are introduced each season

the collection includes gilets, jackets, skirts and hats all made from our gorgeous soft wool tweed

all manufacturing is in the UK

accessories such as softest leather belts and beautiful cases for glasses are all handmade here in Worcestershire
