the leather ipad covers in lucious lime and outrageous orange are now in stock and sit wonderfully with all the other leathers. Its been a busy day along the street despite the cold chilly wind, its been fun meeting so many new customers. I am so loving the shop. Off now to clear, clean and get the trailer back to its original state..oh and eat the odd egg or 2. Happy Easter

For a final and special finishing touch , Stephanie Wood is making gorgeous accessories to compliment the bespoke collection of clothes. This special card holder made from the the softest navy leather is lined with horse bit blue and navy lining....the same lining is in the coat and the skirt being made for yet another very special customer.

Thrilled with new tweed fabrics from Abraham Moon and Glenylon... mixed in with colourful Italian linings including a bright pink and orange paisley and navy and pale blue horsebit design, and lace with a stunning collection of accessories made exclusively by Stephanie Wood.

Harris tweed coat with matching skirt, a pretty pheasant feather brooch and a stunning leather bag with matching accessories....perfect outfit for Ladies Day, at Cheltenham

Its been a cold couple of weeks but the little Gilinix shop is warm and cosy...having to keep the door closed isn't good but we do need to keep the warmth in! Simply Love it when friends come in for coffee....or just a chat, everyone is either on herbal tea or black coffee, promise I'll put a little fridge in soon! ...and lovely customers its a real treat meeting so many new people

We are bucking the trend slightly, not putting out a summer collection yet..brrr bit cold. There are wonderfully warm Harris Tweed coats,long jackets and apple green neat little jackets, all with matching skirts in stock, alongside our own bespoke collection....I am loving our new creations..working with each customer to produce their own individual combinations and colours... redcurrant tweed with bright pink and orange paisley, navy tweed with pale blue stirrup lining for the races and a new pale lilac dogtooth tweed.. lace, buttons and trim, my little office is looking like a design studio...I'm in heaven!!!

some new cashmere wrap colours have been delivered this week and gorgeous Stephanie is working on some new leather accessories with some super stylish tweed handbags

...and as the weather starts to improve, our fitted gilets will be perfect, new soft green, classic navy , rich browns with some new fabrics on the way

Early January catch up

Not only did I open the shop just before Christmas but went for a lovely evening at Highgrove, where I was lucky enough to meet Prince Charles….. he was totally charming ( am I allowed to say that!!) we ended up talking about tweed deckchairs….! Into the New Year , 2013 is going to be full and brimming over for GiliNix, with the shop, website and of course a limited number of shows. The sign is at last up outside the shop, the window changed, next task … a tree outside the door. The collection continues to evolve and grow with beautiful new products, which are, and I’m very proud to say, British. …..tweed key fobs and coin purses , designed by Stephanie Woods, have just arrived … wonderful country photography from Rebecca Balfour, prints now hang from the wall ( and are for sale) draught exlcuders have been featured in country life this week!!!

...Happy New Year its been wonderful seeing so many customers in the new shop we are really settling into this new way of life for Gilinix..walking into this beautiful little shop every morning (with the exception of Sunay and Monday at the moment) is delightful. Truly proud to be promoting British business, with the Gilinix tweeds woven in Scotland, clothing made in England, Cashmere knitted in South Wales, Leather accessories, including the most stunning bags, all handmade here in Worcestershire.

..have been so busy but am excited to let you know GiliNix has opened a shop ...number 4 Friar street, Worcester. More details and lots of pictures to follow... Full of beautifully made British clothing and accessories...just in time for Christmas!
